BLACK DEER FESTIVAL CANCELLED
The organisers of the Black Deer Festival have announced that it will not go ahead for 2025. There has been a lot of speculation regarding new sponsors, poor ticket sales last year and spiralling costs as well as some people stating it hasn’t been as good in the last couple of years. The organisers have admitted that the decision has been made in light of rising production costs and unpredictable ticket sales it is unfeasible to host the event this year, however they hope to return in 2026 with a full festival again.
ROADHOUSE WEEKENDER 2025
So although the Black Deer Festival has been cancelled the Roadhouse Weekender Festival is definitely going ahead. However have they booked so many artists that they have bitten off more than they can chew? With the Black Deer not going ahead are more artists looking for exposure at this brand new festival? With 64 artists already announced, including Drake White and Sophia Scott, and more to be confirmed it will certainly be a jam packed weekend. Scheduled to take place from 4-6th July -watch this space!
BRELAND’S INSPIRATION COMES FROM HIS FAMILY ROOTS
Breland emerged on to the country scene in 2019 with his debut single ‘My Truck’, and has been pretty unstoppable since then. He has collaborated with some of the country greats, including Shania Twain. His new six track EP is deeply personal for him and pays tribute to his family roots in Slema, Alabama. His grandpa is the family historian and Breland in making more time to learn the stories now that his grandpa is getting older. He has pictures and all sorts of stories that were passed down to him from family members that he met. The songs in Project 24 came form Breland recent visit to Slema and the songs are a reflection of the people there today and the community that although still deal with hardship are incredibly resilient.
CARRIE UNDERWOOD IS ROCKIN’ THIS NEW YEARS EVE!
The singer has just announced that she is booked for a headline slot during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve show, with a performance that will celebrate her being a judge on American Idol. It also marks 20 year since she won the competition. It will be the third time performing at the New Years special, with the other years being 2007 and 2015. Other performers will be Megan Moroney and our very own British singer songwriter Sophie Ellis Bextor! We will bring 20 things that Carrie has done since winning American Idol next week
