Recently i was given the pleasure of interviewing one of the UK’s most notable Country figures.
The Godfather of Country music in the UK, the one and only
Whispering Bob Harris.
Bob has recently undertaken a fantastic project, to help Grassroots artists who are suffering due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Gigs and release events have been canceled promotions and merchandise has gone to waste and their income all but dried up.
The project embarked on by Bob Harris is nothing short of a lifebelt to so many.
Coinciding with Bob’s 50th year in Broadcasting and the 60th anniversary of Stand By Me being released by Ben E King.
Stand By Me is Bob’s favorite tune and he felt it was the only choice when decided to embark on this journey.
Recorded on Bob’s own record label, Under The Apple Tree, the single had a fully star-studded lineup also a host of Grassroots artists.
Be sure to support this brilliant project, or our grassroots artists may not be there for us after the Pandemic is gone and that would be a travesty.
